10 easy ways to increase your water intake!

Not everyone is hitting their water intake goals every day. People often don't take into account how important it is to stay on track with the amount of water you should be drinking on a daily basis. I have created a list with easy and simple ways that anyone can use to increase their water intake. Let's get into it!

1. Always carry a water bottle with you- If you start to carry a water bottle around with you, you'll always have water near you that way you can constantly drink it. This allows you to drink water throughout the day and not when you're just sitting down for a meal.

2. Add flavor- You can add fruit to infuse your water for a fruitier taste. This may make it more enjoyable to drink throughout the day.

3. Use a time marked bottle- Using a water bottle marked with hours of the day will encourage you to stay on track with the amount you're drinking and will help you pace yourself.

4.  Turn it into a habit- By starting your morning and ending your night with a glass of water, this will naturally start to become a habit. Overtime your body will get accustomed to doing this and it'll be the first and last thing you do every day.

5. Replace other drinks- Instead of ordering other drinks when you go out to eat or drinking soda at home, replace these drinks with water. Until you know you can drink enough water every day, stick to a water based drinking diet.

6. Use a straw- For some people, drinking with a straw makes drinking easier. This could be more convenient for you since the straw is right next to your mouth and you don't have to go through the whole motion of taking a sip without a straw.

7.  Set a reminder- Setting a reminder on your phone or even downloading a water tracking app can make sure you are drinking water throughout the day. If you're a forgetful person, this could also be helpful.

8. Sparking water- If you have a hard time drinking water and prefer carbonation, try drinking sparking water.

9.  Eat water rich foods- Eating water rich foods is another great way to increase your water intake without drinking water. Water rich foods include watermelon, oranges, and cucumbers.

10. Drink a cup before every meal- Drinking a cup of water before every meal will keep you hydrated and make sure you're hitting your water intake goals.
